How to Move Your Furniture

One common problem that people face whenever they decide to make the great move out is, well, moving the furniture. Furniture can become very heavy, especially for items like sofas and cabinets. How are you supposed to move them around if you only have yourself plus a couple of other helpers there?

In the past 20 years, my family has moved around a lot, perhaps with an average of 3 to 4 years for every house. Fortunately, we've been staying in our current home longer than what is usual, but that shall not erase the fact that we've become quite tired with moving.
The best way to not have the hassles of moving out is to not move at all, but if this isn't possible, you can simply hire a moving company. But then again, if you don't have the money or if you don't have enough trust in third-party companies to take care of your furniture, that can really be a problem.
One solution that I can see right now is to simply attach wheels to all of your furniture. That may sound laughable but that actually works. Putting wheels, of course, makes your furniture more mobile, allowing you to move them around with ease. This may be difficult for extremely large items, such as cabinets, however. We did try to attach wheels unto one of our cabinets and it took us more than a day plus some expert carpenters who spearheaded our efforts.
If you still don't like that, well, then just purchase furniture that walk on their own. Yes, you heard me right, there are actually furniture that walk, just like this walking table featured in the Dutch Design Week in in Neindhoven, Netherlands. There are no motors or batteries involved, just a set of mechanical legs that will help you with the move out. Just give it a little push and it will help you move by walking on its own. Entertaining? Sure. Creepy? You betcha.
In the meantime, the manufacturers are also preparing a walking cabinet for you.
