The Fine Arts Society of Indianapolis has found a new home, good news to lovers of classical music.
Because of a surge in enrollment at the University of Indianapolis, the organization had to vacate its offices there and is in the midst of relocating to WFYI Public Media's headquarters at 1630 N. Meridian St., according to a news release Monday. The FAS will be off campus for the first time since it established a partnership with UIndy in 1983. However, its live classical music programming will continue to be broadcast from the university's public radio station -- WICR-FM (88.7) -- housed in Esch Hall.
Through its new collaboration, the FAS will lease state-of-the-art production facilities from WFYI Public Radio.
